Blue Cheese Baguette Spread, Lowfat Appetizer
Toasted Walnuts, Green Onion Dip Recipe enhanced with fresh chives

A really good appetizer spread for baguette bread made with low fat cream cheese, blue cheese, toasted coarsely chopped walnuts, fresh chives and parsley. You can serve it in a bowl with a pate knife nearby for guests to spread on baguette bread or an assortment of sliced breads, bagel chips and crackers; or spread the dip on the bread beforehand and serve. Prep Time: 15 min   Total Time: 15 min

Ingredients:

8 ounces low fat cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup (2 ounces) Blue cheese, crumbled
3 tablespoons walnuts, coarsely chopped, toasted
1 tablespoon fresh chives, snipped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Kosher salt, to taste
freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Baguette bread, sliced 1/4-inch thick, lightly toasted

Instruction:

In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, blue cheese, toasted walnuts, chives, parsley, salt and pepper. 

You can serve the mixture in a bowl with a pate knife nearby for guests to spread on baguette bread or an assortment of sliced breads, bagel chips and crackers; or spread the dip on the bread beforehand and serve. Garnish with more chives, walnuts and serve.
