Tomato Rose Garnish

Peel tomato skin in a continuous unbroken strip, roll it up to form a rose.

Ingredients:

1 red tomato , medium size
basil leaf for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Using a sharp knife, start at the stem end of a tomato, peel the skin with very little flesh attached in a continuous unbroken strip 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch wide, like peeling an apple. 

Carefully roll the skin up, shiny side out being careful not to break the strip. Turn upside down, adjust the roll if necessary to resemble a flower and set on a serving plate... it is impressive
