These little bites have just the right amount of brown sugar sweetness with a chili powder 'kick' for a quick and easy tasting appetizer to serve. Make them ahead of time then pop in the oven just before guests arrive.

Sweet Bacon Chicken Wraps

Yield: 15 appetizers


6 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 chicken breast half, boneless, skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes
9 to 10 bacon slices
, cut in half horizontally
wooden toothpicks


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a small bowl mix together brown sugar and chili powder.

Wrap each cubed piece of chicken with a halved bacon slice, secure with a wooden toothpick at the seam and dredge in the brown sugar mixture. Arrange on a non-stick baking sheet, bake for approximately 30 minutes or until crisp. How easy is that!

Serve hot or at room temperature with your favorite beverage.

Wine recommendation: Pinot Noir; Chardonnay; Beer
