Making a strawberry flower garnish is easy, you do not have to be skillful to make these flowers, all you need is a utility knife to make 4 cuts... how simple is that!  See more of my garnishes with photographs for dinner parties.  Have you seen my Desserts with photos?

Recipe Type: dessert, garnish, strawberry, strawberry flower

Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time:10 min
YIeld: 1 strawberry garnish

Ingredients:

1 Fresh Strawberries with hull intact
mint sprigs

Instruction:

Place strawberry on cutting board, hull side down. Using a utility knife, start at the tip of the strawberry and make 4 equal vertical cuts on each side following the contour of the strawberry without cutting clear through as my photograph indicates. Carefully fan out the thin cuts you just made so that it looks like a flower. Add a mint spring and serve with a Dessert of your choice.

Wine recommendation: Pinot Gris; Chardonnay
