Ice
Cream Strawberry Timbale Dessert recipe and
photograph by www.finedinings.com
Serves 8
8 (4 ounce) plastic or paper cups*** 4 cups Vanilla Ice Cream
4 cups fresh strawberries, preferably with pointed ends 8 fresh mint sprigs
Spoon ice cream into plastic or paper cups pressing in firmly; smooth the tops,
cover and freeze. They can be made two days ahead.
Cut tops off strawberries; slice vertically; place on the plate with pointed ends toward the outside,
(see my photograph) overlapping them in a semi-circle
until you have two or three rows of strawberries. Cut or peel away the paper cup from the ice cream
timbales; place upside down on the plate in the semi-circle; garnish with mint sprigs and serve.
***Comments:
If you cannot find 4 ounce paper or plastic cups, simply cut 8 ounce cups in half
horizontally. Wine recommendation: Sauterne
