French Dip Sandwich and

For each sandwich:
1/3 to 1/2 pound roast beef, thinly sliced Hoagie roll or torpedo roll
1/2 cup Au Jus (recipe follows) Salt and pepper, to taste
Season roast beef with salt and pepper, layer beef slices on the roll and serve with a small container of Au jus
dipping sauce served hot. Garnish with watermelon slices seasoned with cracked pepper and chopped
mint, if desired.
Au Jus Recipe
1 (10-1/2 ounce) can French Onion soup 1 (10-1/2 ounce) can Beef Broth
1 can cold water 1/2 teaspoon white sugar 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/8 teaspoon salt Bring ingredients to a boil in saucepan; strain, discard onions; serve hot
with a French dip sandwich. Can be made 2 days ahead. Makes 3-1/2 cups
