This is awesome with
sliced baguette bread or baked bagel chips.
I have made this many times, it is always received well,
everyone loves it and appreciates the fact it is a low fat recipe.
Take it to
parties or serve at home with wine,
it has just the right amount of flavor combinations for an excellent
tasty dip or spread,
it can be made in advance, covered and refrigerated
Blue Cheese Baguette Spread

adapted from Domain Chandon Winery, Napa Valley
8 ounces low fat cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup (2 ounces) Blue cheese, crumbled
3 tablespoons walnuts,
coarsely chopped, toasted
1 tablespoon fresh chives, snipped
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Kosher salt, to taste
freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Baguette bread, sliced 1/4-inch thick
In a bowl mix together the two cheeses, toasted walnuts, chives, parsley, salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Spread on baguette bread slices or set a dip bowl on a tray with assorted sliced
breads, baked bagel chips and crackers. Garnish with more
chives, walnuts and serve.
Can be made ahead and
refrigerated.
